Kick-Off the KICKER

There's been lots of talk about air bag lately, and we are excited to invite you to the second annual "Kick-Off at the Kicker", taking place at EVO on September 30!

Please join us between 10:00 and 3:00 for trampolining, air bagging, conditioning and obstacle course - all the best things to get your athletes pumped about this season. We'll also have hot dogs on the grill and some swag for the kids. Please bring a salad/appetizer/desert/side that can be shared with the group.

"Kick-Off" is a great way for families to reunite ski friends and get to know other athletes, parents and EFSC coaches and Board members. To make the day accessible for all, the cost will be just $30 per athlete.

All participating athletes must have an up to date Alberta Freestyle membership, and have signed the EVO Waiver.

Registration for this event will close September 20.

WHAT: Kick-Off at the Kicker

WHEN: September 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

WHAT TO BRING FOR THE PARTY: along with ski gear (see below),  we would appreciate each family bring a salad/appetizer/desert/side to be shared with the group. Please also bring lawn chairs, lots of water (there is none onsite) and whatever snacks your family loves.

There are bike trails nearby so those interested might want to bring bikes, but please note that biking is NOT sanctioned by EFSC and you'll be on your own if you choose to ride (i.e. the club will not be held responsible for any accident, injuries or damage that might occur from biking). Biking will not be part of the athlete programming.

WHAT TO BRING FOR AIR BAG:

Athletes should be layered head-to-toe in order to ride the airbag. Skin should be covered. Please bring the following:

  • Appropriate outerwear for changing weather conditions;

  • Comfortable athletic wear;

  • Additional layers to stay warm and dry, you will get wet on the airbag;

  • Towel to dry off with and a change of clothes

  • Sunscreen

  • Drinking water (there is none onsite)

Ski equipment must be in proper working condition:

  • Skis and need to be detuned (edges slightly dulled) to reduce the risk of puncturing the airbag;

  • No missing edges, burrs, or freshly sharpened edges;

  • Helmet

See you all there!
